Tentative schedule:
Nominations: 27th June - 5th July
Signups: 7th - 15th July
Works due - 1st/2nd September
Works revealed - 9th September
Creators revealed - 16th September
Does this schedule work? Any issues?
(I do have issues with moving these dates very much, in that my Internet is limited to my phone until my home Internet gets repaired, around the 27th-28th, maybe the 29th or 30th at the worst, and I can't accept nominations very quickly on my phone, and I will have limited time from the 19th for about a week and a half due to prior IRL obligations).

Schedule has been finalised! You can view the schedule here.
Nominations will start around noon UTC on the 27th.

Rules and FAQs have been revised. New FAQs are here; old FAQs can be found here.

The tagset from last year is here. Does the grouping of fandoms work? In particular,
  • Tolkien as The Silmarillion, The Lord of the Rings books, The Lord of the Rings movies, The Hobbit books, and The Hobbit movies
  • Marvel - MCU, individual TV shows, comics under their own 'verse (no overall Marvel comics tag) For comics,  would you prefer overall 'verses or individual titles?
  • Ditto for DC
  • Star Wars is split into Originals, Sequels, Prequels, Rebels, Clone Wars, Legends, and comics Would you prefer Legends/comics/canon novels(/video games?), more specific splitting by title, or a different grouping method?
  • X-Men as Original and Alternate Timeline movies.
  • This year, I'd also like nominators to refrain from All Media Types tags as much as possible
If there are any issues you spotted last year, or if you think this grouping doesn't work, please leave a comment.

For Star Wars:
- Rogue One would be nominated as its own movie, right?
- I was planning on making nominations based on the Star Wars novels from the new canon (not Legends) - should I nominate each novel as its own fandom, or should I lump them together into some sort of Star Wars (canon novels) category?

Awesome, thank you! For my Star Wars new-canon EU request I went ahead and just nominated it as the particular book (Star Wars: Thrawn - Timothy Zahn), because that's the way I've seen in done in other recent exchanges and I think it makes sense. But I can change it if you would rather!

As a Tolkien person, that set of fandoms works fine for me! (Ordinarily I'd suggest doing an AMT for Hobbit, because from experience hardly anyone will want book-based fic, but if you're trying to avoid AMT then that's great, and I'm gonna nominate some book-based stuff!)

That grouping of Tolkien fandoms looks fine to me too.

As one of the 2 requesters of Star Wars Legends last year, I wanted to say that it worked fine for me. I can't comment on the more recent canon (except to agree with Rosecake above that Rogue One needs to be its own group), but I don't think Legends needs any more specific splitting.
